water pump may not be external , but is behind one of the pulleys, have you checked for loose or cracked hoses? do you hear any noise coming from that side? don't forget the heater hoses, and is the leak on the inside or out?
The water pump is located on the passanger side of the engine. Look right below the timing chain cover and there is a pully and belt on the water pump. You will have to remove the water pump and thermostate together then seperate them after you get them off the car. I would recommend replacing the thermostate also (cheap fix). You will have to remove the belt and pully before you can remove the water pump. Hope this helps....
in the boot(trunk in n america) lift out the ply cover on the spare wheel, and the wheel, between the wheel and the rear is a ply and steel filler panel, held in by screwa, unscrew these and the pump (s) is under there.
