Why does my 1990 toyota pickup hard start.

The computer will require a signal to indicate neutral or park as in the auto gear box. I would think that the hard to start problem will be coming from this missing connection You may need a switch on the clutch pedal and have you foot on the pedal so that the cpu thinks the box is in neutral/park

What's your problem?my 96 blazer is revving at about 3100 in park and neutral and accelerates on its own to about 40 45 mph anyone know why this is happening?

You have a stuck/defective IAC(idle air control) motor or a HUGE vaccum leak.Or,your throttle cable could be binding, causing the throttle to stick.

Where is the neutral safety switch on a 96 camero

The park/neutral position switch prevents the car from being started when the transmission is in any gear other than Park or Neutral.. When the transmission is in Reverse (with the engine running), the switch completes the back-up light circuit, illuminating the back-up lights.

Fig. 1: After removing the console, you can access the park/neutral position switch.

Hope help with this (remember rated this post).

2002 jeep wrangler 4.0 auto will not start, maybe shift sensor??

Neutral safety switch is either bad or out of adjustment. On stickshift cars, usually found above clutch pedal. On automatics, aw4 trans is on passenger side of trans, On 727 Chrysler trans it's on the top left rear edge of trans casting just above the pan.
