Question about 2002 Jeep Liberty

1 Answer

Rear Hatch Window

The computer thinks that the rear hatch window is open when it's not. My alarm goes off randomly and my rear wiper won't work because it thinks that the window is open. And of course I have the annoying dinging sound that drives me absolutely crazy. Any suggestions?

This could be a simple door adjustment. Have someone sit in the car while you push in on the hatch. See if the light goes off . If the light goes off, then adjust the striker plate so the hatch closes tighter.

Back hatch on 2004 chevy trailblazer will not open...

You could have a bad Lift Gate Module (LGM) or a broken wire in the wire harness going thru the rubber boot between the body and the lift gate.
But first check fuse #19 in the rear fuse panel.

Turn on the rear window wiper . Try to get the wiper arm off the glass. There is a switch that will not let the window operate if the wiper is on the glass.

2003 Envoy Both the rear windshield wiper and defogger quit

Have you checked the wire harness that goes between the hatch and the body? The constant opening and closing weakens the wires. Could also be the ground wire, I believe is inside the hatch. It could have come undone. If you have an owners manual, it should guide you to the defogger fuse. Hope this helps. Best wishes.
