Buckling Noise at rear of car (06 Touareg)

I have a 2006 VW touareg. REcently I have noticed a buckling noise at rear of car especially when I go over small bumps. It sounds like ummm...when you move a small fridge and you hear the noise that the antifreeze makes when jiggling it around...something ratteling in a glass jar type of noise.

I have taken it in once but they told me thaty don't hear anything and just "tightened" a few items on the rear. Still the same noise if not louder.

Any comments would help, the noise is driving me nuts!!

If possible have someone stand on the bumper and bounce. while you are under with a flashlight and try topinpoint the noise. if no noise while bouncing, the trouble is in the drive line not suspension. this noise could be something as simple as a seized shock bushing not or a u-joint. maybe the brake cable rubbing somewhere. good luck

2006 vw touareg esp engaging when not necessary 2006 VW Touareg stability control engaging when driving normally on road, making a loud mechanical noise

Whenever this warning light or any other stays on in the dash it is indicating that the systems control module (or the system sensor in the case of lights like low oil pressure, door open indicators etc.) has detected a fault, it then disables the system (this applies to ABS,TCS, TCM, SRS and BCM faults and others) as long as the light is on. You must now have the dealer hook up a special electronic diagnostic tool and "scan" the system for the fault code that is stored for the problem(s)

if the car bouces alot when you go over a speed bump or in and out of dips the shocks could be wearing out. look and see if they look oily if the do should get the replaced before the springs break and your end up riding on axel.

96 Golf 2.0GTI 8v knocking noise from rear when accelerating

its probably your bump stops. the vw ones are very soft. i bought ford escort (the shape after the xr3) ones and cut them a little down to fit. i think the noise is either your shock touching or the sound of the tire scraping the body of the car. hope this helps.
