The 30A "RTR" fuse in Junction block#2 is what's blowing when the left light retracts,if I turn the lights on and disconnect the Left side retract motor, the right works fine on/off Left & Rt headlight fuses # 3&4 resp. are okay, Tried a replacement lift motor no change, Maybe a Bad Relay?? What does RTR mean? Thanks for the help

Then the head light is not blowing the fuse just the retractor motor? Wiil the left headlight go up or down after this fuse blows? cut the wiring harness open where it bends with the headlight movement, I bet u will find the short there.

There is a really good chance that you have a bad power or ground wire. based on the age of the vehicle i would say that it is most likely corroded but it could also be cut or burned

1986 Supra. Head lights pop up but does not turn on.

the headlight pop-up circuit is different from the lights themselves. Check the headlight fuses in the engine compartment fuse box. If the fuses are good then check the headlight relay. It is in the same fuse box just behind the headlight fuses. (The headlight relay is the second relay from the right side of the fuse box. the relay at the far right is the electronic fuel injection main relay.)

1987 Supra What is the in-dash warning light left of the temp guage? symbol: carriage light, filter?

Radiator, usually comes on when the exterior plastic tank gets low . Sometimes these leak as a result from low antifreeze and the plastic tank will crac k at the base, where the wire comes out which activates the little symbol light to the left of the temp gauge you are referring to.

1987 Toyota Supra with brake light issues. All light work, but the brake lights don't get brighter. Does it have something to do with that little yellow box in the rear driver side pannel?

Brake light fuse , or burnt out bulb , or switch on brake pedal.
The bulbs have 2 filiments in them , 1 for running lights and 1 for brake lights.

Timing Dpecs for Toyota Supra 87 6 cylinder

1987 non-turbo: 10 deg Before Top Dead Center (BTDC) @700 rpm
1987 Turbo: 10 deg BTDC @650 rpm.

To set the timing, you will need to connect a jumper wire between terminals E1 and TE1 on the diagnostic terminal. This diagnostic terminal is located just aft of the engine compartment fuse box. It is a black plastic box marked "diagnostic" on the cover, which flips open to reveal the terminals inside. There is a diagram on the inside of the cover which explains the terminal positions. On the Turbo model, you need to remove the forward section of the engine cover to gain access to the number one spark plug wire.

Toyota Supra 1991. L/H Headlight comes on but won't pop up, where is the relay...??

Should be two black boxes in the fuse box labeled LH headlight and RH headlight. There is also a manual raising knob next to the light under the rubber boot. Leave them up until you get a new relay.
