I have a 1992 buick lesabre with 160000 miles on it and it misses bad and i have changed the cam sensor and it didnt change. i dont get it because the 3.8 engine i bulletproof and i have another one with 220000 miles and it runs like a top! got any tips for me?
The code 41 is indicating an EST control issue. I would check you connection at the ignition module, make sure the connector is locked securely and there is no corrosion in the connector or terminal pins on the ignition module.
The EST is your electronic spark timing control, the module is not switching over to ECM controlled timing. The ECM sets the code when it can not take over control of the timing. If the connections look good, you likely have an ignition module that has gone bad.
Good luck and let me know.
