Question about 1992 Toyota Camry V6

2 Answers

1992 toyota camry has absolutely no power.

My camry has no power at all. I checked under the hood and the battery is still in place, and it was working fine the last time I had the car running. It's been sitting, plugged in for the last 2 months or so. The car was broken into, and now I'm starting to wonder if the culprit tried disconnecting something from under the hood or damaging a part in the process??
If you have any information that could help me out, I would really appreciate it!

-well if it was working and the battery is still there check connections
-you really need a wiring diagram for this best you need to know what powers up your system
-check for broken wires that leads from battery to other components
-also check relays and fuses because if there blown then there will be no power

You should start by either having the battery tested at autozone or checkers for FREE or you can try jumping cables if you can get another car next to it... start here at least you'll know to move on to the next problem. if you have power in the battery check that the cables are not loose or corroded

Battery placed in backwards

You probably blew a main fuse or circuit breaker. I believe your fuse box is on the driver side under the hood. Check your owners manual for fuse I.D. Then check the main fuses.

Where is the EFI fuse on my 1990 Camry 2.0 ltr

i know on my 1992 toyota camry...the EFI fuse is located under the hood on drivers side in the fuse panel there...right next to the battery. standing on the drivers side, from the side of the car looking at box as your facing the passenger side of auto(which will be directly across from you) it is located at top left. Says to also check the Circuit opening relay located behind the glove compartment ... the middle one. BUT, before you pull that ..if you want to check for a code stored, do so before you pull that out or before disc the battery. To do that you'll need to look under drivers side dash upside down for the code detector that has a flip top cap.. and you'll block wheels, place in neutral w/ Emergency brake on, turn key to on position and then w/ a metal paper clip ... bridge the E1 and TE1 terminals ..then look at your dash for the flashing start read the code. If it flashes steadily the same every 1/4 sec then no code has been recorded. Hope this helps.. If further testing info...needed let me know.

Placed the wrong terminal on battery post when changing the battery and think it blew something out fuse maybe? where is the fuse when you do this?

Check all of them:
Two - Under the hood along the drivers side of the engine compartment. They are over the wheel well and right next to the battery.
One - The turn signal flasher, and another fuse are located inside the car right next to the drivers left foot. They are hidden by a piece of plastic that surrounds the hood release lever. There may be another behind the glove compartment. (Don't know for sure)

Check under the seat, make sure the connectors are still plugged in. Also check the fuses under the hood in fuse box on the drivers side.

My 97 Camry has no inside power, no radio, power windows, lights, dash lights, nothing. I changed the ignition switch, and put a new battery in, and there is still no power inside the car. Has anyone else...

There is a fusable link from your battery to everything inside the car. 62468983
See FL Main 3.0W - I believe that is where your problem lies. If all your fuses are good...that is the culprit. Good luck!

A/C Refrigerent

Look under the hood, should be a label around the radiator support, or under the hood itself, that will tell you what refrigerant it uses.....
