Question about 1993 Mazda 323

1 Answer

Won't start. Here is the deal. It started in the morning but come the afternoon it would only turn over but not start. I had the AA out and he says the battery is fine to start it, their is plenty of fuel getting to there and enough air. Distributor is fine. He thought it could be the ignition coil. I bought a new one and fitted it today. It still just turns over without starting. I have been told it could be the leads or timing belt. My question is this ... it has an immobiliser and a friend suggested that maybe it has malfunctioned. Can the immobiliser be reset? If I can reset that then maybe I can rule it out. It is a '93 Mazda 323f.

1997 Toyota Celica having problems starting in the afternoon

Sorry about that.
-There are few thing need to be check to find the problem:
1. Check spark plug. (dirty, oily) If so replace.
2. Check injector resistance, if not within specification. Replace it.
3. Check air flow meter. dirty>> Clean it. (Careful not to damege)

My mitsubishi will not start in the morning but will start int he afternoon

Don't use my answer as the right one but it could have something to do with a worn out battery or the fact that everything is warmer in the afternoon which allows easier cranking of the engine since it requires less energy/force whatever to turn it over and ignite to start the engine. (Since fuel and air is warmer which ignites easier under compression stroke. Not 100% sure but hope this gets you further mate. :)

This morning, while accelerating, the engine revved up...like I was in neutral. I restarted my06 jeep cherokee and drove home. This afternoon when started, the engine would turn over then a few seconds...

first, check (or have checked) the battery-it may have a damaged cell and is no longer putting out 12.5+ volts, which is necessary for a modern engine's ecu-a digital voltage meter (less than $15) will tell you is this is your problem.

Ford 6.0 Diesel turned over slow this morning but started.

Check the starter. Pull it off and have it tested at your local parts house most parts houses will check free of charge. Also these 6.0's are known for injector problems along with oil pressure o rings going bad.
