Question about 2006 Hyundai Accent

Break Lights not working

I have a 2006 Hyundai Atos and have noticed that my rear break lights are not working at all.The roof to light still works but not the lower boot lights. I have checked all the fuses and they seem to all be fin and intact. What else could be the problem? My cockpit light above the mirror is also not working. Could the 2 be linked?

Thanks for your advice, but we did manage to solve or at least figure out the problem. My dad and I checked the bulbs lat night and discovered that all 4 bulbs had blown. It was strange that the back lights were still in tact but only the stop lights had blown. Once again... thanks for your help

The two are definitley linked, if all the fuses are intact as you have earlier stated then the problem is almost definitly the wiring itself? you do have two fuse boxes one is usually under the bonnet, but it usually in the cab of the car?

more than welcome. also i might add that if you have more than one bulb blowing at once then you might want to replace your earthing straps as well.

Rear break light will not go on but rear window break light will

could be the light itself, the red brake wire that comes off the rear brake lights that feeds this stop light, sometimes things get shoved against this wire and its cut,or if it splits off in the frame,it could also be broken here too

Right read blinker/break light dont work, turn signal blinks rapidly

It's the bulb. There are two filliments in the bulb. One is for when you turn your lights on and the other is for breaking and blinker flashing. When the break filliment goes bad it causes the blinker to flash very rapidly. 100% the bulb. Change it and all will be good again. P.S. if it were a fuse none of the break lights or blinkers would work.

My flasher work but brake light not work just roof lighting went aply brake

Chk. fuse, emergency flashers, and middle break light, and the other break lights are on seperate curcit (a fuse for each), if fuse is ok than it could be break light switch, witch is located under dash on steering colume and works off break peddel arm.

Rear tail / brake lights

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

Almost always, your described concern indicates a loose ground particularly on the driver side. What is required is to check the connectors leading to the driver rear side and/or a ground wire. Often, the problem would be the ground terminal is loose or corroded leading to the body of the vehicle. A temporary workaround is to determine which is the ground in the bulb socket (always the body) and wire a jumper wire to any exposed metal part of the rear end.

Good luck and thank you for using FixYa.
