Electrics seem to be working but wont lock

fuses are usually in the glove box or under the drivers dash or under the drivers side hood either physically inspect every fuse by pulling them one by one or the aid of a test light and a good ground to the test light

you have just found this out.it is a standard feature of all vw/audi/seat/skoda cars
unlock/hold key over,the windows will go down
lock/hold key over the windows will go up
then unlock the car with the remote,car reset.
sit in car with engine on,switch off engine(do not open any door)driver can open/close any window(you can even put your hand into window frame and it will rollback,all on its(not for fun)
if windows rollback after you have used button to close them you may have sticky runners/rubbers.
this is not in the hand book,tell all your friends.....only a german car.....

All these components operate via the central locking control unit. Check fuses No.4, 37, 6, 3, 14. If these fuses are ok, the control unit may be faulty and need to be replaced. The control unit is located behind the right dash panel.[on right hand drive vehicle , may be else where on left hand drive vehicle.
