Question about 1990 Toyota Pickup
Excuse my lack of car talk, but I don't know anything. My 1990 pickup's engine surges every time I'm its idleing. Its automatic 4cy 4WD. My regular mechanic can't figure it out. He aint the most knowledgeable, but hes very fair in price. So I jumped on the internet to try and point him in the right direction on why it may be doing this.
My gas milage right now is 13mpg city. Its hurting me because I am a contractor that cruises around the city all day. Any help would be much appreciated!
If the engine is surging/idle increasing and then decreasing at idle, have your guy check for leaks between the air flow meter and the engine, also, if no leaks are found, Check/replace the throttle position sensor
