did you replace the fuel sock at the end of the pump (if in tank model) or at the end of the fuel pick-up line on the fuel gauge device (in tank)?

Catalytic converter/s. Did you replace the fuel filter also? If not, replace it. Not the problem though.

2000 Ford Ranger hard to start:

Unfortunately there are many things that could be causing this. I would check the engine coolant temp. sensor ..and see what its reading with the engine hot. Your going to need a scan tool to get that reading...or just change the sensor...good luck

2004 Ford Ranger 4x4 quit running no fuel to the filter. Replaced fuel pump, but still not working.

Check the inertia switch (refer to owners manual for it's location). Also check the fuel pump relay.

Ford pickup truck with fuel starvation

I would try a fuel addative or stablelizer, it might have some moister and sedament in tank from setting so much, or just old gas, try that, if that don't help than you will need to chg. the filter because it may have got in there and is restricting the flow of gas, hence poor excelaration. You can also can take it out on a clear stretch of road and open her up and blow the cobb webs out of it, it might just be carboned up too.
