Question about 1989 Chevrolet S-10 Blazer
Hey i just bought this 1989 4.3liter s-10 blazer from my friend. runs great. just cant open the fuel tank cap. there is a key for it but it wont unlock it. does anyone have a solution or something that would help me open it? i am almost low on gas and i need to refuel it somehow.
You'll see little tabs that have to go up over another piece. What I did was bend the three tabs up slightly and tapped with a flat screw driver and hammer to twist it off (open). Did the same when put it back together. Then bend tabs back down gently so not to break them off. You wont have to replace part. I've done it twice now and haven't broken anything.

Pry it off and replace it if you cant pry it off then remove the filler hose form the wheel well then drill out the lock or punch it out with a hammer and chisle
