1996 Plymouth Grand Voyager

Wipers only work after depressing wash button. I have replaced the multifunction switch and still have the same problem. If I have wipers on low, push the wash button, they work for two rotations at low, If I have them on high, push the wash button, they work for two rotations at high, then stop. Any ideas............? I have a similar problem..turned the wipers on ...nothing..lost rear/front wipers ,headlights, tailights, cluster, interior lights. Chrysler [Canada] wants $1200, for the part ,plus cost to ''program'' it,plus labour cost! Apparently they do not want you to use a used part, because it may not work..But at $1200 -plus I see there point! But thanks to you I will definitely try a used one...

The delay switch on the wiper motor may have went bad, the only way to fix it is to replace the wiper motor. for (i have the same problem),your computer may be shot or you have a faulty wiring harness.

1996 Plymouth Grand Voyager 3.0. Power steering and wipers quit!

As the two systems are not connected in any way, I would call it an odd coincidence. The power steering is a hydraulic mechanical system that routs fluid pressure created by the power steering pump and signals are input from the steering shaft to the rack n pinion. And the wipers are electric mechanical that takes the power from the electric wiper motor controlled from the wiper switch to the wiper transmission which moves the wiper arms.

Well I would guess its the contacts in the switch itself since they get moved manual by your hand the most. A motor either works or don't work no mater what speed its running..Just trying to help

No power at relay... fuse is good.... can jump power to relay prongs 87 & 87a to make wipers work... relay prong 86 is dead,no power or ground jump power to that prong with relay in & it trips but...

The current flow is controlled by the multifunction switch on the steering column. If the problem is in the electronic parts, wiring, switch (except the integral motor park switch) and wiper motor a DTC will be stored in the BCM. You will need a DRB scan tool. Check with some auto part stores, some stores will do scans for free.

I had the exact same problem PLUS my power door locks and some guages stopped working. I replaced the Body Control Module (BCM) which is behind the inside fuse box and problem was fixed. I did get the part from a salvage as the unit from Dodge was $1000. Make sure you replace with same part number and disconnect battery before working on it. One downfall of changing BCM is I now have a new odometer reading.
