Generally the Maint Req'd light will come on when it's time for an oil change. You DO NOT need to take it to a dealer to have the computer reset. Complete waste of time. I have a Tc myslef and take it to the local quick change place. Put your key in, turn it to accessory position while at the same time pushing and holding the trip reset button. Then start the car. It will reset and unless you have changed the factory settings will remain off until the next 5k miles and your next FACTORY recommended oil change. Also your tire pressure light may come on at some point as well. The reset button is in the glovebox. Once you start the car, push and hold that button to get the light to turn off. (you cant do this while driving) That light turns on if you air pressure is low, you have uneven wear in the tread of the tires and currently mine is on all the time....I put 4 brand new racing tires on (not factory tires) and the computer thinks things are out of wack but my pressure is fine and the tread is fine. I just live with that light being on.

Light on screen says REQ. MAINT.

Could be as easy as your car is due for an oil change (if that hasn't been done within the required interval (check your owners manual). If that is not the problem, I suggest taking it to a mechanic that you trust, that has a computer that he can hook to your car to find out exactly what the problem is........ As it could be quite a few different things

I have 2006 Toyota Crolla since three days the maint reqd light is on could you please advise me on this ? best regards Sultan from Afghanistan

The maintenance required light just means that some sort of scheduled maintenance needs to be done. Most of the time it just means you need an oil/filter change. Your owner's manual will list what maintenance is required based on your milage. This light is not the same as the Check Engine light which means that something is wrong with the emissions system.

Maint. req. light blinks 10 times after start up?

When a Honda Maint Req light blinks, but then stops, it is telling you to change your oil. If you don't change it, eventually, the maint req light will stay on. Here is how you reset the maint req light: 1) Turn they key to the II position
2) Turn the key to the off position, and push and hold in the odometer reset button
3) Turn they key back to the II position, while still holding the odometer button.
4) After about 10-15 seconds, the light should go off.

If that doesn't work, try it this way: p.p1 {margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Verdana}

With the igniition off, press and hold the odometer button, turn the key to the "on" position, but do not start the car. Keep the odometer button down until the oil light begins and ends flashing. Turn the key off, and then start car to see if it worked or not.

The maintenance reqd light has to be reset when you get an oil change. If you have the owners manuel it will tell you how to reset it.

Es 330. maint required light on! wat to do

The maintenance light is preset to come on at certain mileage marks by the automaker. The light is prompting the owner to have service completed that's in the owners manual or by contacting the dealership. For example, at 30,000 miles the owners manual may say that the auto needs to have oil change, transmission fluid check, rotate tires etc. Hope this helped.

It's basically a type of oil change life/ idiot lamp that will come on briefly after 4K just after startup and then stay on steady after 5K reached after reset procedure done after each oil change.
The explanation of it's purpose and the reset procedure should be covered in your owner's manual.
I remember resetting some Toyota maint req lamp by holding in the trip reset button ,turning on the ignition key ,the mileage indicator appears as a row of flashing segments that gradually disappear and your done.
If that doesn't work ,try releasing the trip switch momentarily, just after turning the key to run position and then redepress and hold the trip reset button in (before the cluster completes it's lamp prove out)

Reset maint req

Reset - step 1 turn the key to the 'on' position. using the trip meter button, toggle the lcd until 'ODO' is displayed. step 2 turn the key off. now, push and hold the trip meter button. while holding the trip meter button, turn the key to 'on'. step 3 while you continue to hold the trip meter button, you will see on the lcd disply five (5) small dashes and they will begin to 'count down' rather quickly. step 4 continue holding the trip meter button and once all the dashes have been cleared, your lcd will display six zeros (000000) - release the trip meter button now - and then the lcd will display 'ODO' and your current mileage. at this time, your 'maintenance required'/oil change light has been reset.
