SOURCE: Land Cruiser front wheel

Just check your car does not have differential locks, in theory they should not come on without being switched on but they can fail in the 'on' position. Lift both front wheels and see if the steering is stiff with the engine running, if it is then the 'locker' is not to blame. If it is now free then look at the locker and see if it has seized,

SOURCE: brake light on the dash is stuck on my 94 land cruiser ...why?

Hello!
From your description it sounds like the warning light switch has either come adrift or stuck? If you examine the hand brake area look around for possibly a White plastic plunger that should be exposed when the hand brake is lifted/applied. To confirm identification there will be two wires possibly in a clip on plug going to it.
If the plunger/switch is in situe then it may have stuck, try gently pushing the plunger in and out it is sprung loaded so resistance should be felt, if you touch it and it is sloppy the try getting behind it and pushing the body back into its slot. You may have to remove the sock/gaitor that covers the hand brake base.
If all fails then try removing carefully the wired plug to it and the light will be permanently off on the Dash.

SOURCE: Hand brake light on dash of my 1983 FJ40 will not turn off

Hi. Look at the brake master cylinder. See if the brake fluid is low. If there is a wire and a connector on the side of the reservoir, this is the 'fluid-height sensor' when the fluid is low (as the brakes wear, the fluid level drops proportionally), the fluid level is below the sensor, and creates a circuit, thusly illuminating the light.

Testimonial: "I will check it immediately. thank you for the tip as I suspect this may be the problem."
