Likely candidate would be your power steering pump... next would be the rack and pinion steering

The key will not come out

Try moveing the steering whell hard both ways while turning the key and pulling at the same time. some times the locking steering wheel puts the ignition switch in a jam.

My 1997 pontiac Grand prix power sterring is gone and hard to turn i think it might be the pump or sterring whell fluid but cant find it help me please

You might want to check the power steering fluid. The resevoir is on the passenger side toward the passenger seat it is kind of hard to find. But i have a '97 Grand Prix and i noticed that whenever i would turn sharp while going pretty fast it would make a grinding noise and i could feel my steering wheel pulling me. But the thing is the power steering never whinned or anything. So i checked it and there was absolutely none in there. So check the fluids first.

I have a 2007 Pontiac G5 and the power steering started to fail gradually until now that it does it after driving the car on a stray line for a few seconds, if I turn the driving wheel left and right...

Keep in Mind that WITH NO POWER STEERING AT ALL The Faster you Drive the EASYER it is to Stear Lft & Rght. Having Said that If your Car is Hard to Steer While Sitting in PARK and Turning the Steering Wheel Left AND Right , This Sounds as if your Power Steering Pump Is Bad for1 and it May have Contaminated The STEERING RACK , this is A MAIN Component in the Steering System.

My gear shift locked up

Did you leave the steering wheel turn to right or left? If so turn it to the way you left it as far as it will go then try to turn the key. Try this a few times to get it to key to turn. Also try rocking the car while turn the steering wheel and key might need another person. Cause: the park pin is ingaged and with the wheels being turned makes it hard to unlock steering colum.

Power steering

if you have to keep adding fluid it hasto be leaking it somewhere.
Have someone work the steering whell back and forth going all the way and make it work a little each way meaning turn it right all the way till it won't turn an hold it so it winse and the same way the other way.The leak should show up

B4000 steering stopped in mid turn.

your belt could be the culprit i had the same problem with my old ranger where the belt sliped under certain conditions and causes loss of power steering pump pressure.
the next time it happens pull the whell as hard as you can and se if it acts the same as when the vechile is turned off
