Thanks coehspprobe, probably you are right. Something else may be related: there were three times some weird starts, when it did not sounded right so I pulled the ignition key and the starter did not shot down!! It’s happened rarely so I cannot reproduce for the service. You think the two symptoms are connected?

Its a good possiblity that your starter is bad. another problem might be a bad wire running to the starter

if the power wire running to the starter is bad, be it corroded or melted, then they could be connected. the easiest thing to do would be to pull the starter off if you can and take it to any major auto parts store and they should test it for free. if it passes then the next step would be to check the power wire running to the starter.

I have a Ford F-350 with a 7.3 deisel it won't start it just clicks like it's not engaging the starter the starter is brand new and if you try to jump it across the sylonoid it just clicks need help

One click or several clicks? Several clicks would indicate a low battery or corroded wires. One click, put a socket and breaker bar on the harmonic balancer bolt. See if you can turn it, your engine may be locked up.

Car won't start, has brand new battery, but when I try to turn it over it just clicks and if I hold it down it makes a buzzing noise. Other than the starter, what else could it be?

That is a sign of a bad or weak battery. It is not getting enough juice to crank engine. Have you tried jump start. If it does jump start, the battery is bad

Tried to start, it goes click one time.

It sounds like a faulty alternator, the alternator uses the momentum of the running motor to charge your battery. if this is faulty than the battery will not get charged while running and go flat. use a multimeter to test the battery. or try to jump start the car, if it starts when jump started than you know its an alternator.

either you have a bad connection to your battery or,, you have a bad starter. no other solution. if it clicks when you try to start it and the batterys fully charged, you're getting fire to the starter and it's trying to start, but the starter bendix isn't kicking out.which means it's a bad starter. thank you for choosing
