WRENCH LIGHT ON EVERYBODY AROUND TO BUSY TO TELL ME WHAT IT MIGHT BE

Yes it is a "service soon" light. It means something is wrong or up. You should have it checked at the dealer or an auto repair shop. :-) If the mileage is around 50,000 or 100,000 miles, the service light will likely come on. I think all cars do this. I think the dealers or the auto repair place can turn it off.

NOBODY HAS HAD A SOLUTION TO THE WRENCH LIGHT PROBLEM....I HAVE A FRIEND WHO HAS A 2006 INTERNATIONAL DIESEL 6.0 ROLL OFF WRECKER.....HE HAS HAD SEVERAL PEOPLE LOOK AT IT AND NOBODY HAS BEEN ABLE TO FIGURE IT OUT....EVERYBODY ANSWERING THIS QUESTION ON HERE SAYS READ THE CODES....IS THERE ANY REAL MECHANICS OUT THERE...TRUCKS & CARS BOTH HAVE THE WRENCH LIGHT ON THE DASH...THE ONLY THING THAT MAY HAVE MADE SINCE ON HERE {BUT I DON'T THINK SO UNTIL I CHECK THE TRANY FLUID ON THE ROLL OFF } SOMEONE ON HERE SAID TRANY FLUID IS LOW....I HAVEN'T SEEN THAT YET BUT I AM OPENED MINDED...3 DIFFERENT PEOPLE PLUGGED IN A SCAN TOOL ON THE TRK. AND NO CODES POPPED UP...SO I AM STILL SEARCHING FOR AN ANSWER....IF ONE COMES UP WITH A GOOD ANSWER ,PLEASE E-MAIL ME AT [email protected]...../????? thanks

car has detected a problem with itself could be 1 of a hundred things auto parts store will pull code from car to tell you the problem with it

Forget the dealer
You get a check light.leave it,and go to a shop to scan it for the code.Then have them diagnose from there and repair.
You have system malfunctions on both vehicles.

keep out of Auto Zone, thats what they tell everybody. Have a shop look at it and recommend repairs.

i like to use mobil 1 oil and oil filters. drain plug torque is wrench tight done overkill it. If it's a 4 cylinder it holds 4 quarts ( with new filter). If it's a v-6 it holds 6 quarts (with new filter).

You will need a OBD2 code reader, that will give you a "trouble code" then that will tell you what direction to look in, for the problem.

Wrench light, is "Service Engine Soon". Check light indicates there is a stored and current engine computer fault. Often referred to as a DTC,,,Detected Trouble Code. Stop by your Autozone or Advance Auto parts store and they can plug in a scanner that will tell what faults occured and possibly what you can do to take care of the problem,

The difference is the yellow wrench is a mantinence required light it doesent mean there is a problem its a reminder to get service like oil changes . Everytime you get an oil change the tech has to reset the mantinence light . The reset instructions are in the owners manual
