Question about 1997 Isuzu Rodeo

1 Answer

Rear driver side window seems to be stuck...

A 1997 Isuzu Rodeo. In trying to move the window up/down, I hear what sounds linke a grinding noise, and the window doesn't move. It's currently a few inches from the top. The window is the back dirver side window.

I'm trying to figure out how to remove the door panel so I can determine what the issue might be.

Is there a way to "push" the window back up to the top?

I also understand that the worst case solution might entail replacing the motor/regulator unit. Is this correct?

Any docs/diagrams that anyone can point me to would be greatly appreciated!

It is possible the regulator is fine and it just came unattached from the glass. Grasp the glass and try to move it up and down if it will move up and down tape it up until you get it fixed. If it seems like it is still attached then yes likely you will need to replace the regulator.

Stuck rear window

To remove the door panel there will be 2-5 screw bolts in places like the door handle and behind switch and handle panels. Remove them then teh panel will either lift straight up or pop out if it is held with panel plugs then use a flat pry tool to pop them out.

It does sound like the regulator which is cable driven and will by basiclly held on the glass and the door with bolts. You will need to move the old motor to the new part.
