Question about 1992 Pontiac Bonneville
I've recently come across steam coming into the passenger compartment, the windshield steams up like a mirror when taking a shower. I've experienced about a quart to a half gallon coolant loss daily.
Yesterday I changed the theromostat, the O-ring was severely eaten and corroded, but now, the heater will not come on at all. I attempted to drive it to work today, and the cabin filled with steam again. I've pulled the blower motor and it smells burnt, but it does rotate. Any advice????
You need a heater core for starters...probally could use a full system flush also. Check condition of all hoses and replace as needed....also check radiator condition and replace if necessay. I have found that once one problem occurs in the cooling system it's a good idea to make sure everything is in good shape or you will wind up chasing leaks everywhere...good luck...
