I have replace allot of timing belts gas and diesel on VW the only tool I use is the 2 pin adjustment tensioners wrench part # VWW004820 at "all-foreign.com" and other store check with your local auto parts stores too. the rest you can eye, in the pulley on the pump just find a small deep socket works great. But make sure not to turn the motor over by hand or starter (remove the battier cable) you can move the crank on the cam shafts but only slightly. Good luck

Hey, Just recently bought a 2001 Petrol Golf gti that'd done 99,000kms and hadnt had the timing belt done. I'm currently on 101,000... I know it is probably not recommended I drive anymore, but...

Volkswagen recommends only to check the timing belt & tensioner first time at 90,000 km, then every 30,000 km. Renew as necessary.
CAUTION: The most important fact is that the car is 10 years old. Do NOT drive the car without timing kit renewal !!!

You should change the timing belt & timing kit (tensioning roller, water pump, guide roller) at every 90000 km (56000 miles).

Is the timing belt replacement link with the number of Km (90000) only or also with the car life. In other word my A4 19 TDI is 2003 and has got 55000 km when shall i replace the timing belt?

Even your car Audi A4 1.9 TDI has got 55000 km and the timing belt replacement is due at 90000 km, the car was made in 2003. I strongly recommend you to change now the timing belt in order to prevent any risk!

HI, I would like to Know if A6 requires the change of parts like Air Filter , Ail Cleaner Element, Dut and Pollen filter etc in a year's time of purchase or 15000 km which ever is less for Indian Roads....

if bought new then no but at least air filter must be changed for maximum performance 15k km-20k km, if the car is second hand then i would recommend a thorough check of ALL components
