Re: burnt oil smell coming from heater
Make sure the pvc valve is in place on the valve cover on the passenager side and also make sure the oil filter does not have a double gasket on it cause this will make it leak and the fan would blown oil back on the engine

My suggestion is to make sure there's no oil spilled from putting any in. Take it to a car wash leave engine ON stay away from fuse box and battery tray. Use the engine degreaser mode and wash your engine rinse thoroughly with the rinse mode after. If the problem still occurs. Check to see around top of motor if any smoke is coming out or if fluid is coming from valve cover. If so replace the valve cover gasket which is usually cheap.
Look for the red dip stick the yellow is always engine oil the red is the transmission don't mix them up . You can add transmission fluid down this tube. However if your haveing shifting problems look at the color of the existing oil and smell it . It shouldn't smell burnt and should be red in color if it is you may need to have the flushed and serviced to keep it from dieing on you . Its a lot cheaper them replaceing the trany
Is there a squealing noise like the pulley may have locked up? Make sure you don't have wiring getting hot.Check all areas near the exhaust and at the firewall area where the EGR piping comes off the exhaust. Make sure nothing is laying against the exhaust or catalytic converter. don-ohio
I'm guessing you have a minor anti-freeze leak. The condensation on the air conditioner piping is normal,as your AC works a lot, every time you select defosteror some other positions on your heater. Check for a teeny leak coming from a hose on top of the engine. don-ohio
I expect that you have an oil leak that is dripping/running on to the exhaust. The burnt oil will smells a bit like rubber. Check for oil leaks that are higher up on the engine. (Valve Cover gasket for example).
