2001 Saturn, need a Serpentine belt diagram

I need a Serpentine belt diagram for a 2001 Saturn. Would also like any useful hints or advice for replacing it. Have replaced other serpentine belts but this one is hard to get at so any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

Get a floor jack and a small block of wood. place the floor jack under the oil pan. jack up the jack until you feel it on the oil pan. remove the engine mount. you will need a deep 15mm socket and a 6inch extension. the mount has 4 bolts. remove it. then jack the engine up with the floor jack until the power steering reservoir almost touches the cowl. now take a long 14mm wrench and place that on the bolt head on the belt tensioner. pull the wrench until the belt slacks up. remove the belt. Installation opposite of removal. Here is a belt diagram. I hope this helps!! If you have any problems or questions e-mail me at: Redlinetech07@yahoo.com

Diagram for serpentine belt for a 2000 saturn station wagon 2.2

Try this link. This was as far into the diagram list as I could get with the information you provided. You will need to select the Model of the Saturn, Station wagon is not an option, and the next section should be to select the year then it will show you the different diagrams for the Serpentine and timing belts for all motors installed in the vehicle. You will have to locate the actual diagram you need but it will be there.

"HOW TO":
Standard Rules to Removal the Serpentine Belt with an Automatic Tensioner:
1. Find the Tensioner(s). (See Diagrams on Link)
2. Using a Serpentine Belt Tensioner Tool, Or Wrench OR Ratchet, Rotate/Move the Tensioner USING THE AVAILABLE NUT (on the Pulley or Arm Base) OR the OPENING (3/8ths or 1/2 inch square opening) rotating the Tensioner Pulley/Arm - moving it away from contact with the belt and towards the area where the belt is not in contact with the Tensioner Pulley. The Tensioner is spring loaded, and is hard to rotate/move.
3. Remove the loosened belt off one of the other more easily accessed Pulleys.
4. DO NOT quickly release the Tensioner, but gently allow the Tensioner to rest in its closed position.

Standard Rules for Installing the Serpentine Belt with an Automatic Tensioner:
a. Pick a Pulley that is most easily accessed. This will usually be on top. This will be the last Pulley that the belt will go on.
b. Using the Diagram: Install the new Serpentine Belt on the remainder of the Pulleys....over, under, left right.
c. Using a Serpentine Belt Tensioner Tool or Wrench or Ratchet Tool: Rotate/Move the Tensioner Pulley/Arm "away" from Belt contact area on the Tensioner. This spring is pretty hard and with a new belt, it will be even harder to install. Rotate/Move this to as-close to the maximum allowed inorder to have enough slack in the belt to get it up and over the last pulley.
d. Using your other hand - Pull the Belt up and over the Last remaining Pulley.
e. Before releasing the pressure on the Tensioner, visually inspect the remainder Pulleys and the Belts' Positioning on them.

2001 SATURN SL1 BELT

You'll need a 14mm socket wrench.

Locate the belt tensioner pulley. It's the one closest to the alternator and the only one that comes in contact with the back surface of the belt.

Fit the socket on to the bolt on the pulley.
Try to turn it clockwise.
This should swing the pulley down and loosen the belt,
Slide the belt off one of the other pulleys.
When it's clear, release the tensioner, remove the belt.

Same deal in reverse to replace the belt.

Here's a diagram

Hope this helps
