Question about 2002 Ford F350 Super Duty DRW Reg. Cab

Open Question

Replace coil pack ford transit 2.3 petrol/gas

My transit has developed a missfire main dealer wants to change coil packs they sied four at the start now changed thier mined to two (but isn't thier only one?) also want to change leads spark plugs etc. Then when i had agreed to have this done they then came up with the controle modual as well all in this comes to £1390.00. Is it likely that all this needs doing or would i perhaps get away with just the coil packs and how would i do this?

Keep in mind the spark plug wires is what transfers the electricty from the coil to the spark plugs #5 is bad then it is not going to receve proper curent. So usaly it is ideal to change all at the same time!don't forget to disconect battery to reset computer takes a couple of minutes to reboot the computer.Merry Christmas

I have a ford focus 2003 model.plugs number 2 and 3 are there posibbility that the Ecu has packed?

Check the connection to your coil pack for a corded or broken wire going into the connector. The coil pack is where the plug wires come from. Ford has a pigtail kit to replace it if it is bad. Or the coil pack is bad. Top, driver side of engine.

Only 1 in 10,000 PCMs is defective.

Im working on a ford ranger 2002 with the v6. i just need to see a pic of the piston order and the coil pack order. im getting codes for 4..5..6 missfire but im not sure witch ones they are

Cylinders 1,2 and 3 are the cylinders on the passenger side and cylinders 4,5 and 6 are the cylinders on the driver's side. They are numbered front to rear. The coil pack will have the cylinder numbers marked on the top of it. The actual firing order is 1-4-2-5-3-6
The top of your coil should look like this:
1 2 3
5 6 4

Your engine looks like this:
1 2 3
4 5 6

My ford econoline 1997 e250 has intermittent misses at idle and acceleration cruising speeds

One of the coil packs are starting to go out. One way you can pin point it is to buy one coil pack and replace one. If it still misses keep moving the spare one to the next coil pack until you find it. If you take it somewhere to be fixed it will run about $275 for each coil pack and up from the dealer. If you do it yourself and some time cost will be $70 for a coil pack. I know cause I just went through the problem at 120,000 miles.

Freelander shuddering and gerking when accelerating in 3rd & 4th

More than likely you are having an engine missfire. They are reknowned for problems with the coil packs that produce the spark for the plugs. They it up the road and labour the engine until it does it on full throttle. then back of the throttle to see if it stops. |Then back on to see if it starts again. Most likely it will. Change the plugs first. this will probably cure it short time as new plugs reduce the load on the coil packs. Best change coil packs though also.
