SOURCE: have 2004 f150, replace rear brakes and rear

This generally happens as a result of too much clearance between the shoes & the hub and it causes the complete set of shoes to pivot. You will need to fine tune the adjustment to where the shoes have just the minimum of clearance & they won't be able to bind/hang up any more. good luck

when you pull the hub off take a picture of the brakes so you can see all the parts, so you can tell where everthing goes back together.

What brake ststem do 2001 silverados have? rear brakes

Hi. Your 2001 Chevy Silverado is equipped with Antilock Brake System (ABS). You will identify also if your car is equipped with ABS by looking at the instrument panel for a yellow ABS indicator light after you turn on the ignition.

All the best!

How do i adjust the rear parking brake on a 2004 chevy silverado 2500 hd 4x4

on the 04 chevy silverado theirs cable equilizers that stable your cables of your parking brakes check to see if those arent loose or damaged in anyway if so replace if not remove the rear wheels and use a brake spoon to spin the adjuster nut on the o4 chevy their is not slots in the sides of the brake drum or the dust shield so it is a hastle trying to find if your on the adjuster or not but once you tinker with it for a while you will get the hang of it

you can take a tape measure to do so or it should be stamped on the area where it mounts to the hub, stamped in. probably in millimeters(MM).

Underneath the vehicle is a turnbuckle to tighten the cable for the parking brake you need to turn it until his tight enough that when you engage your parking brake it will function properly.

Hot brakes

Take the top off your master brake cylinder to relieve pressure. You may have over-pressured things if you didn't take the cylinder cap off when you compressed the rotors. You said pads, so I assume they are rear disc brakes.
