After I posted this comment, i went back and tried to start the car, it went fine for 5 minutes, and then turned of again, i pulled the injector out it looked very clean, but i sprayed some carb cleaner on the sides of it and also in the small needle, i placed it back inside the started.... i took it for a ride for about 15 minutes and nothing happend, but i don't feel secure. Now i do not have a pressure gage, before the car had the service engine soon light.. now it is not on hmmm, well my dad bought an used carburator, complete in a salvage yard for about $150, it has everything even the injector, he will send it to me, once is here in costa rica, I will clean it, and send the injector to get a proper clean up in a shop, and will try that. hey guys thks for all the help, i did not know that i was going to get a response so soon, I will be updating here just in case, that may be helpful to someone else. I also heard that an injector's life stan is about 150000 miles, this little amazing car has about 145000 miles, it was in proper use in the states, before was placed here in costa rica...thks for all the help...

Is your check engine light on? If so, have it read from a neighborhood store (i.e. Checker, Autozone), they tend to do it for free. That will give you the reading on what it is. You may also want to take a look at your MAS air flow sensor. It will allow you to start your vehicle but will tell the engine that it is gasping for air and will shut down. (That is usually connected right after your air filter)

My Chevrolet Astro Van 1998 is exhausting BLACK SMOKE on starting. What could be the cause and solution. PLS HELP

Well over here in ireland when this happens it usually means that you engine need ti be cleaned.
There is two ways of doing this one is to leave it in for a full engine clean.
The other way is to get it out on the motorway and drive it extremely hard till you see a puff of smoke from it then it will take off very fast which means it is cleaned out.

Cant get the destrbuter to set rigth Truck want start

Pull the distributor and use a long flat screw driver the move the oil pump. turn it untill you get the distributor to sit flat on the engine and the rotor button is facing #1 cyinder. You also have to have the #1 cylinder at top dead center on the compression stroke.

How can you tell if the computer is bad on a 1998 geo metro?

If a fuel injector is not firing to one of the cylinders on the multi port fuel injection type engine, then it's a safe bet that the computer is at fault. But, the engine will run really badly if that's the case.

My chevy metro 98 1.3L starts perfect but it does

can be a number of things from fuel pump to coil pack but check the egr valve may be starting to go -remove and check for carbon build up if not fully encrusted use a carb/or a carbon cleaning solution to clean and free up valve--most problems give a code but -fuel pump-filter-air filter dont and egr will sometimes set off other sensors but usually doesnt until its to late

I have a 98 chevy silverado 1/2 ton 5.7L motor. My truck will only start after I turn the key over and over to allow the fuel pump to run. I sometimes do it 10 times before it actually starts. After its on...

The problem may be that it has 55 psi instead of 60-65. Could be the fuel pressure regulator or the fuel pump itself. I have read that these engines need 60 psi minimum to start reliably. Also with the engine off, look down the throttle body with a flashlight and see if the intake appears wet inside, indicating leaking central injectors. There is an upgraded injector assembly available with pressure regulator at autoparts stores. Requires 4-5 hours to replace with experienced mechanical skill level. Would definately upgrade if the pressure regulator needs replaced anyway.
