Hey all, earlier I accidently put ~150mL of brake fluid into my power steering reservoir. a few hours later its been flushed through with 3L or so of power steering fluid. unfortunately now theres alot of noise when steering - possibly air causing problems? has anyone got 1-2-3 steps to eradicate this noise?

there should be a res on the pump or on the fender just follow the hose to it the check and make sure its full but it sounds like it could be a belt
SOURCE: do it yourself brake and power steering fluid flushing/change
As you are bleeding the brakes, start w/the furthest line (right rear), have someone add fluid at the same time. Do right rear, left rear, right front, left front until the fluid runs clear. Power steering, disconnect the low pressure hose to drain the canister. Refill with fluid. Repeat procedure, until fluid is clean.

somewhere there is a air leak on the suction side of the pump. Try tightening the clamps and connections.

k,
"The leak" is probably not the pump. A closer inspect might reveal a bad hose, hose fitting or worse yet the "rack" has a bad seal. Who ever diagnosed the leak did not look close enough to verify the source of the leak. The washer story sounds suspect too.
I would take a small inspection mirror ( 1" or so in diameter), and look with a focused flahlite on exactly the drips of power sterring fluid are cming from. Some reputabile shops have a UV dye and use a black light to trace,,, but a good sarp eye and searching will spot the source leak.
Then you need to take the hose or part to the NAPA , or your choice parts store and save the money a shop or dealer would charge...
good luck jerzil
SOURCE: Where is the Power steering Fluid located?
This is what it looks like:
THERE IS NO CAP TO FILL IT LIKE NORMAL POWER STEERING SYSTEMS. IT HAS TO BE SERVICED FROM THE INLET HOSE.
Look underneath the car up at the driver's side of the car above your tie rods (or look at it from above). It is mounted to your steering gear.
