If it is firing good and is getting fuel I would suggest checking the timing again and adjust the valves again. Sounds like the timing is still off to me .

Starter motor/engine turnover

Check the alignment of the starter gear when it engages the flywheel. It may be going in too tight, or at an angle. It could be binding the starter.

Do i need to have my 2004 dodge intrepid anti theft code reset through a dealership if the heads and head gaskets were replaced? the entire top of the engine ws taken apart adn put abcl together.

i would disconnect the battery. removing both the positive and negative battery terminals. with both ends disconnected, hold the two terminals together for about 10 seconds. this will proform a hard reset on most chrysler vehicles. also, if this doesnt work, try turning the key to the on position, and then proforming the hard reset procedure.

usually they will not throw a code, check to see if the car is getting spark when trying to start, if not just replace crank sensor and should be fine.

The tensioner puller bolt broke while the car was running so we put it back together lined marks up but do we need to get the cam and crank in top dead center..just lining the mark up wont let the car...

Its not gonna start because you have bent valves (usually just the intake valves).
Your gonna have to pull the head and have the valves replaced

The 3.4's and 3.1's have a known issue with the intake manifold gaskets. These gaskets aren't really considered "high" quality in any respect. This may not be the exact problem but I'll tell you this much. I had a 3.1 in an Olds and went through three of them in a month. I finally said the heck with it and started my search. A company out of California made a stainless steel and rubber gasket set for the entire top end, except for the head gaskets. We put the new intake manifold gaskets in and vwala, everything was grand. Didn't have a single problem after that.

If your mechanic has some decent connections; they should be able to find the same kit if you're experiencing the same problem as me. My kit was over $200, but still better than forking out $80 for a kit that I would be paying to replace again and again. Not to mention labor costs also.

I'd definitely take the car back and ask them if they will repair it. If it's leaking where they fixed it; they should fix that problem for free. And if you got a GM stock replacement, I know for a fact that all GM stock replacement parts (other than major wear items) have a defect warranty for resellers. So, they can get the money back from the part or get a free replacement if it's a factory defect.

I hope this helps you out bud. By the way, the `90's Camaro's are killer!

1995 Eagle Talon Will not start

check the mass air flow sensor, if this is bad then the ecu wont get a signal and it wont send the right amount of fuel to the cylinders causing a no start condition
