Question about 1996 Ford Taurus
HAD THE HEADS MACHINE AND PUT IT BACK TOGETHER. NOW IT IDLES ROUGH AND WON'T ACCERLERATE AND GET A CODE P1131 INTEMITTEND.WHEN DRIVING THE CAR YOU HAVE TO LET YOUR FOOT OFF THE ACCELERATOR TO GET THE TRANSMISSION TO SHIFT. ALMOST ACTS LIKE THE CAT IS PLUG UP.
The code 1131 is an 02 sensor. It is the sensor which is Bank 1 sensor 1. The sensor is located when you stand in front of the car it is on the right hand side - that is Bank 1 and it is the first sensor.
Please let me know if this helped.

That code I do believe is the oxygen sensor. It sounds like you may have a plug wire crossed on it. I would check the firing order and make sure it is right and also check the vacum hoses.
