Question about 1996 Oldsmobile Eighty Eight
The belt was damaged when the power steering pump went out. How do you replace the power steering pump and replace the serpentine belt? The fluid appears to be leaking under the pump, but the pump seems to be free. The idler pulley also seems Ok so we are assuming it is the pump or the reservior that is leaking but need to replace the belt first to find out where the leak is. Found two bolts but having a hard time getting them broke loose. Are there only two bolts? Is there a trick to replacing the belt? HELP!!!
3 bolts should be holes in the pully too go thru with an extension if their are no holes in the pully then you nee a power steering pump pully remover it can be rented for 5.00 at auto zone

To take the power steering pump you will need a tool called power steering pulley remover an one to put it back is a different tool installer there should be 3 bolts holding the pump on,as far as the belt the diagram should be under the hood run the belt around the crank first then work towards the tensor pulley
use 3/8 drive rachett to move tensor pulley till u can slide the belt over it . if belt was not old you do have a bad pulley some where tensor or idler, alt,or a/c check all pulleys before you replace the belts they are not cheep

Only a owner, or somebody who worked on an olds can give a full answer. Well, in London I don't see many Oldsmobile.
I hope to help by posting a link to Haynes Haynes on haynes manual for your model you should find the whole illustrated procedure for fitting the airbag.
