How do I bleed the brakes on my 2000 chrysler cirrus?

Get a helper. Fill the master cyl reservoir with brake fluid. have helper push brake peddle to the floor and hold it. crack bleeder at the farthest brake caliper from the master cyl. (right rear) close bleeder screw let brake peddle up for about 10 sec. repeat until u get nothing but fluid from bleeder. Don't forget to check reservoir level regularly. If u let it run dry u get to start all over again.

When bleeding a break system have one person pump the breaks around 10 times and hold the pressure to the break peddle while the other person loosens the bleed screw......The peddle will then go to the floor..............Hold to the floor until the bleed screw is tightened again and repeat until no air is in the line............Repeat for all breaks and always check the master cylinder for low fluid level and top up.................Hope this helps you out.

i suggest a bad master cylinder, but 1st answer this, when you apply brakes firmly and keep pressure on the brake pedal, does pedal go down while you're holding pressure on the pedal? if so, the master cylinders bad. and also have you checked the vacum to the brake booster?

Brakes are still spongy after changing the pads, one caliper, and master cylinder. bled front brakes.

I just went to Brake Masters this morning and had them replace the Master Cylinder since I was experiencing the pedal very spongy and going to the floor. When they replaced the Master Cylinder and they gave me back the car, the brakes were still spongy and going to the floor. I addressed this to them and they took another look at it, but when I took it for a second time, the brakes were extremely spongy. It was almost like they gave me back my car in worst condition to when I brought it in. Can you help?
