Well the relay "if it uses one" to turn on the lights is getting stuck or is still getting voltage to stay on. if there is one it would be in the fuse box.... tap it or remove it replace it ... if its concluded that its not a bad relay something is wrong in the cabin....

Headlights won't turn off

Usually caused by a shorted headlight switch but can be caused by a shorted relay. Need model and year info to help any more.

My headlights wont work

I don't believe there is a fuse. There is a circuit breaker built into the headlight switch. If you are sure the headlight switch is good, it could be a bad dimmer switch. If you have a voltmeter, with the headlight switch turned on, a larger yellow wire going from the headlight switch to the dimmer switch should be a hot wire. The dimmer switch sends power on a tan wire to the low beams, and through a light green wire to the high beam bulbs.
If your high beam indicator on the dash also doesn't work, then it is likely one of those switches. A voltmeter or test light would need to be used to find which one is bad. If you can find the connector at the steering column going to the dimmer switch, pull it apart and check for power on the yellow wire coming from the headlight switch, with the headlight switch turned on. If no power, the headlight switch is bad. If there is power there, then the dimmer switch must be bad.

Lights wont turn on a 99 silverado

Did you check for power in and out of the headlight switch ?
You should have power on the red and orange wires going into the switch and yellow going out to the dimmer switch.

Dash lights keep dimming

Most likely the dimmer switch. Loose connections from the harness connector to the switch can melt the connectors which would cause a poor connection and be the source of the flicker. You may be looking at a combination switch and wiring problem.

if you don't have twilight sentinel for auto shut off head lights try unplugging the headlight switch and see if they go off, the contacts inside the switch may be stuck.

My 2000 Toyota Corolla headlights will not turn on during the night, and stay on during the day

Your Corolla has daytime running lights (DRLs). A photocell determines whether it is day or night. Your DRLs turn on automatically in daytime without you operating the light control ("headlight") switch. Your DRLs are actually your headlights on low beam. At night, the photocell senses it is dark and disables the DRLs. When you set the light control ("headlight") switch to HEAD, the head relay closes and the headlights should turn on. Since they don't, I suggest opening the engine room junction block and checking the 40A MAIN fuse and the 10A LEFT HEAD (UPPER) and RIGHT HEAD (UPPER) fuses. In engine room relay block 5, check the 10A LH-LWR HEAD and RH-LWR HEAD fuses. Replace any blown fuses and the headlights should be working normally again

Headlights wont come on,I have to hold bright lights on to have light. Bright light dont stay on either. pulling out light switch does not work either.

You didn't say what year or model your Buick is, but I would suggest replacing the relay/relays and the headlight switch.
