Question about 1998 Dodge Ram 1500 4WD
My Dodge Ram 1500 Pick-Up dies at times when I come to a stop of start to come to a stop... At times its fine but at other times it dies all the time.. Ive tried taking off my Negitive Pole and giving it a few minutes then put it back on.. It works fine for a while after this
I have a 1998 Dodge Ram 1500 with the 5.9 liter in it, i couldnt keep it running when i stopped at stop signs, the two things i tried, was taking off the air cleaner and sprayed carb cleaner into the intake manifold with the engine running, using the carb cleaner and the throttle linkage to keep it running, before i did this i noticed the throttle valves were dirty, so I inspected the air filter housing and saw it was cracked in multiple places. The second thing i did was reset the computer using a scanner then took my truck out on the highway and drove at least 50 MPH for at least a mile which re-learned the computer. I hope this helps you, it sure worked for me.
