Hi,just bought a 95 jetta 2.0 car has the factory alarm and an aftermarket alarm also! previous owner has said it has a drain own battery,he would have to jump start engine, but also has to insert key in passenger door to disengage alarm before it would start,i had my tech look at it and as he went through the same start procedure it fired and then died and has not started since,he has unhooked both alarms and has told me there is no fire to the injectors,he says there is not a no start diagnosis on the mitchell program, any help would be appreciated ! thanks donnie

Most likely the two alarms caused the injector drivers in the ECU to go South. Check with Known good ECU

I need an owners manual for the alarm system in my vauxhall astra 2001 cdx 1.8. It has electric windows all round.

There is no separate alarm owners manual for the factory fit alarm. If your car has had an aftermarket alarm fitted by a previous owner suggest you find out which manufacturer it came from and check their website for a downloadable file.

How to disconnect the anti theft alarm on a 2001 ford taurus

First, is this a Ford factory installed alarm? Or an aftermarket alarm?

If it is factory then check the owners manual or visit your local Ford dealer to see what they have to say. If it is aftermarket then check your battery terminals for wires that have been attached to the posts. If there are no wires attached directly to the battery then find the fuse box and see if there have been any wires tied into any fuses.

Hope this gets you closer to an answer.

Battery dains when not running

The battery current draw may be caused by a few things, here are some to check: the most common is that a light stays on like the dome light, the brake l;ights may be staying on,aftermarket accessories can cause it as well, audio amplifiers or stereo equipment or aftermarket alarm systems, very common.

I have a 93 grand cherokee that has a drain. Replaced the alternator, battery and removed an old after market alarm that had been installed by the previous owner because he believed the stock alarm was the...

The alarm system is not causing this, that much i know for sure. How many volts is the drain? Anything over 8 volts and 300ma is considered a drain. The most common cause of a drain is interior light being left on or coming by themselves due to defective door switches, this includes the lights in the visors for the vanity mirrors and the glove box and under the hood if so equipped.

I don't have keyless device, just the key. Bought the car Sat Aug

Tried locking and unlocking the driver side door with the key? often this will re-set the security system. make sure that the battery is fully charged also, as by now it may be drained. You may need to track down the previous owner to find out if the alarm system is a factory or aftermarket unit. Both do not work the same...there may be a "secret" switch somewhere that you are not seeing. If the alarm goes off again before you figure it out, disconnect the battery.

Horn beeps as if in an alarm mode

My 4Runner did the same thing. What I did was just put a new battery in hook it up and let it honk. Put the key in the ignition and start it and it should stop. It is in alarm mode.
