I have the same problem in my 91. I discovered that there was some beading down inside my back window and into the trunk so i sealed that and it helped alot. There is still water in my trunk but i think it might be coming in from the lights so you could check there.

96 Buick PA. It was the seal between the taillight and the car body. I had my wife get in the trunk with a flash light while I sprayed it with a garden hose. The water would run down the trunk channel and behind the taillight, where the seal had dried out, and then into the trunk.

!991 buick park avenue. the trunk fills with water during heavy rains..resealing rear window didn't help..where in the heck is the drain plug for the trunk..if any?

There is no drain plug. For the leaks be certain to investigate: sunroof drains, taillight seals, and the trunk seal. Many trunk seals actually channel water into the trunk. New designs are available on many GMs.

Trunk is leaking water after a rain.

Open the trunk, and look at the seal. Is it torn ripped, or flat in areas? Also is there old leaves or trash built up around the seal? You can get a new seal from the dealership, and is easy to replace. It just pushed into place. Just make sure the seam( or ends) are in the center at the bottom of the trunk. Being rubber, they do wear out.
