Where is the cam shaft senser on a ford ranger 2.5 td 2002

Ford did not put a 2.5 in a Ranger, maybe a 2.3 ?
2.3 = 2007-01-27_154722_2.gif
3.0 - The CMP sensor& synchronizer/shaft are located behind the intake manifold (i.e., back near the firewall on a Ranger) on the top of the cylinder block. If you just need to replace the sensor, it is a simple job of unplugging the electrical connector and removing the screws holding the sensor in place. Here is a sketch of the sensor to give you an idea what to look for:

Air Temperature Sensor

Most of the time, they are located in the air tube from the intake to the air filter. Or mounted in the air filter box itself. Sometimes they are mounted in the intake. But not knowing what motor you have makes it a little hard to tell for sure. But if is a 2002, it wil be behind the grill on the left side.

Code p1537 foe a 2002 ford ranger 2.3 engine

P1537 - Intake Manifold Runner Control Stuck Open.

You might want to look at the IMRC valve. It is probably sticking from carbon build up? Use top engine cleaner and clean the air plenum.

Once you have done this clear the codes and go for a ride. About 30 miles should do it. If you have anymore codes it will come back up.

Where is the po113 on a f-250, 2001 super duty 2 wheel drive? please don't say it is in the mass air flow! i just put one in from ford and it still has the same code?

Is that the only code? That is a code for the Intake air temp sensor. On the black tube from the air cleaner to the throttle body there should be a small senser. That is your Intake air temp. Sometimes those get unplugged when servicing air filters or when aftermarket parts are put on.

Intake air temperature snsor location 2002 ford ranger

The intake air temp.sensor is usually in the air cleaner snorkel that goes to the throttle body.Before the throttle body.Should be out in the open in the plastic tube.Sometimes it will be by the air filter housing or on it.Hope this helps.Good luck.

its right behind the intake manifold. its a B*&^h to get off but you need a special tool you can get a most auto part stores. you have to make sure your #1 piston is TDC on your compression stroke. then drop in your sensor, align it to what your specs say

2002 6 cylinder 3.o engine Ford Ranger. Cold start problem. Bank 1 code PO172 and Bank 2 code PO175. System to rich. Where to start checking.

Changed the air filter lately? Possibly defective O2 sensors, but I doubt it. If air filter and intake are clear, I'd check barometric pressure sensor and mass air flow sensors. Get a Haynes or Chilton's for $25 at Pep Boys for instructions on testing these componenets
