Question about 1996 Toyota Corolla
My 1996 Toyota Corolla car won't start. I love it because its easy to maintain. But this really frustrates the hell out of me. The day it died, when I tried to start it- it made a clicking noise. There was corrosion on the neg end and throughout the copper wires, so i cleaned it off best i could with a wire brush and even some cola. i also bought a brand new battery and new terminals. Tried to start it again and NO SOUND and no engine start. Nothing. The headlights and interior lights will come on BUT the warning dash lights, radio and windshield wiper do NOT work. Please O god help.
I have read countless threads about troubleshooting, have tried everything.
I am a girl. I have been stubbornly working on this for the past two days. I would like to pin point it best I can so that in the event that I have to take it to a mechanic, they won't treat me like an idiot.
1996 Corollas are notorious for bad starter contacts. My advice is to replace the starter. I change thme in my shop 2-3 times a week.
