i know it has that but it isnt coming out of any vents so the sensor switch wouldnt have anything to do with it. It has to be something under the dash like whatever the air has to go through to get to the vents. I can switch it to hot and it gets hot i can switch it to cold and it gets cold just not running through the vents almost seems like it is blowing out in the dash.

the heat and air will blow through the floor and windshield vents but not through the face vents - is their a switch (actuator type) that can be replaced and if so how?

I have a Denali Envoy 2006 and am having the same problem. The heat and AC are operational and work through the floor, defrost and the rear heating system. IT will not work through the front instrument panel. I wanted to research this before taking it to the dealer. Any thoughts?

Theres a sensor to open the right vent for the ac try flipping
the switch to heat to ac if this doesnt work than you will have to take to a dodge dealership

SOURCE: air not coming out of any vents of my 99 dodge durango

If on either heat or AC your not get'n any air out of your vents but can hear your blower motor turning then i would say you need to replace your cabin filter.. it filters the air inside of your vehicle

I have a 99 dodge durango 5.9 there is barely any air coming out of any of my front vents. rear vents ok can feel it out the floor and defrost just not the ones on the dash.

The Dodge Durangos are known for blower motor problems. The blower motor is under the glove compartment/dash in the big black box, and so is the evaporator coil. There is a outside air filter that tends to wear out and break apart. Once this material breaks apart it ends up in the blower motor and can cause the motor to stop turning, or turn slower than normal. You will need to open the blower motor compartment under the dash and clean out any obstructions/trash and check the motor if it spins freely without much resistance. If it resists turning by hand or there is no trash and it still fails to work, you will need to replace this blower motor.

If the motor spins freely and there is no trash, you may just have a bad blower motor resistor or A/C control switch/panel.

Heating / air conditioning control stuck to front defrost vents

There is a vacuum leak under the hood. Find the vacuum line on the passenger side where it comes through the firewall and follow it to the engine. You system needs vacuum to operate and without it the default setting is on defrost for safety reasons.

Air not blowing out of the vents of my 2003 Dodge Durango

From what I hear it is a vacuum line issue. Mine is doing the exact same thing. So, I am going to get a diagram and try checking the vacuum lines to see if any are loose or tore

I go under the dash and feel the air flowing out the floor and it is coming out of the defrost, also. I noticed under the drivers side today that air is flowing and there seems to be a gap in between a part under there. There was some material stuff I saw around the edge of it that sticky brown stuff and it sometimes before came out my vents all the time. Anyways, not sure if my air is just not sealed good to blow out the vents but it is something that happened not long ago and we've not done anything under our dash area.
