On the passengers rear side whenever the door locks are locked or unlocked a loud sreaching sound is heard. Very annoying. I took the door panel and tried to figure out if something was bound up and I wasn't. I lubed everything up and nothing. I want to know if the assembly needs to be replaced or if others have had the same problem and how they corrected it.

I have an 08 Jeep Liberty.Whenever the traction control kicks in it makes a growling noise.Any ideas what this could be?

The "growling " noise that you're hearing is the ABS pump being activated. Anytime the Traction Control System is activated or detects wheel spin/slippage, the ABS module will activate the pump because of the wheel speed variations. It is nothing wrong with the vehicle unless the TCS or ABS lights come on and stay on.

Ticking noise from back of 2002 Jeep Liberty

ticking noise

all noise is a 100% hands on deal.
no net bunny can do this. we can tell you to listen here and there
or use an electronic stethoscope, but in the end, its all 100% hands on.

if it makes noise in PARK , that is easy.
any mech. can find that. moving is 10x harder, and dangerous to find noises.

2002 jeep liberty Turn key switch makes loud clicking noise. Light and radio will come on. Car is able to be jumped, will stay start until turn off, and will not restart

See that? Every once in a while I'm right!!! Reason is that the starter draws far more than anything else in the car. Lights and radio can easily be run by an otherwise ineffective battery, but when loaded (starter draws a bit less than 200amps), the battery will fall flat on its' face! When you jump it, the car is running off the alternator and seems to be OK, till you turn it off again.
