A750F transmission problem

it might be in limphome mode.?
why not scan it , and see what DTC errors there are, from TCM.
or do all the tests in the FSM for , ON CAR SERVICE.
FSM= factory service manual.
ever try a tranny shop>?

The key to service is doing the steps in the correct order
1: tranny ground trap good. (missing or damaged)
2: scan it.
3: check pump pressure and do the stall tests stated in the fSM.
4: level checks, and if wrong ATF in tranny ?
5: inputs to TCM wrong, ???? ECT, TPS, VSS1,2,3
6: reset TCM and try to see if learn mode , corrects bad shifting.

OTTOMH, there are more. lots more, A/T are complex.
lots to fail.

Rough shift while getting up at 55mph

with auto tranny, when you relieve the acc pressure on the tranny it will drop into a higher gear, this is normal but if your road speed is low and you put your foot down hard it may change back 3 gears, it decides what gear it requires in relation accelerator pressure and road speed, the tranny does have a switch near the selector, this lets every thing know what you want it to do, this is adjustable but can fail also

please say you did not get the engine steam cleaned...as you can cost yourself a LOT of money.hopefully the heat will dry things out, otherwise get the car put on a diagnostics machine.

Car is shifting hard into second and sometimes third. It also does when downshifting. It seems to do this when the car is hot. Took it out after it cooled down and seemed to shift fine.

Been there, Done that!!! Bought a 2000 bonneville used..once the car warms up it starts shifting rough and down shifting rough. I drove it all the way to work and it ran like a champ till i started start, stop drivin in the street and the tranny warmed up. I retured it to the dealer and it is a solenoid in the tranny that pumps the fluid to detect the shift pattern. that is what they fed me anyways. they fixed it for free. it wasnt too cheap..i got the slip and it was around 1300 dollars. im no car expert by far but this is what happened to me! hope it gives you an idea
