No pick up after 45 mph

Hyundai ACcent 1998
Check engine light has been on. Car won't go over 45 mph. We put it on the analyzer and code came up O2 sensor. We changed the O2 sensor and it still won't go over 45. Could it be fuel filter? pump? or catalytic converter?? Any ideas. Please help.. stranded on vacation.

It could be in a limp mode which would explain it not going over 45mph even though you replaced o2 sensor you may still have to take it to maindealer to reset brain memory.

The O2 sensor code could be the answer. If the sensor is faulty it could be causing the fuel mixture to be too lean.

My check engine light is on and everytime i get gas my car will not start. to get the car to start i have to give it gas. i had it scanned and the check engine light is on because i have a bad evaporative...

The evap solenoid is on the charcoal canister in the fuel evap system, The no start problem can be resolved by replacing the Purge Control Valve, Hyundai p/n 28910-22040. These are warranty items. The O2 sensor trouble code was probably from the over rich fuel mixture caused by the other problems. Wait til after the other items are fixed and then watch for the O2 sensor trouble code to reappear.

Thats why you dont take advice from ottozone. First you may really have had an oxygen sensor problem, then you bought one from ottozone, ( who brag about how cheap their parts are) then you put in another cheap sensor. Have your car looked at by well equipped repair shop thats not trying to sell you car parts.

Check engine light on code reads p2096 what

Fuel trim too lean. Usually means vacuum leak. Look for crushed, broken or melted off vacuum hoses near intake manifold. Or an obvious hissing noise at a normal idle. If so replace or repair clear codes your done. If not obvious take carb cleaner spray with nozzle attached car running & go over all vacuum hoses, intake manifold, egr valve see if idle raises if so you found leak. Repair. Could also be bad oxygen sensor switching bad o2 sensor but rarely.

2000 hyundai accent code 302 misfire and slow responce o2 senser

Yep!.. Typical with an engine cylinder misfire. Inspect the plug and ignition wire, especially the insulator. If you see a 'christmas tree' pattern on the insulator, that's where your problem is.

It sounds like you have either a lean or rich condition ocurring, could be exuast leak, vac leak, leaking fuel preasure regulator, cat convertor. At this point would go to dealer for diagnosis.
