Question about 1984 Chevrolet Camaro
Sometimes it will start then shut off, other times it won't start at all. The fuel pump is fine, fuel is getting into the carb but not far enough for it to fire. Its like the fuel stops after it hits the fuel filter. I already installed a new filter, but i was wondering what that connection above the fuel line area is. Mine is blue and it sticks up and has two prongs; and that makes a ticking noise when i turn the engine over. I also recently installed a new ignition module and checked the ignition coil, which was fine.
Your Car May have a fuel Pressure regulation Valve, take it to a shop and see if there is an easy way to check it to see if you are loseing the pressure you need to push the fuel through the lines.
