2007 vw gti. reverse lights, trunk latch wont open and rear wiper have stopped working. taillight turn signals brakelights work.

Sounds like you have one or more blown fuses. Check the fuse panel for anything that looks blown and replace the fuses. If all fuses are good then there is likely an issue with a wiring harness.

Brake lights not working

First check fuse. If good go right to brakelight switch on top of brake pedal under dash. Check for power into switch pedal up. If you have power in, press pedal down you should now have power out. If not you need brakelight switch. If you do have power out you have corroded or broken wire from switch towards taillights. Usually back by rear wheels. Need to trace wire to where there is a problem.

Taillights will not work, but turn sig, brakelights work, fuses are all good

Some makes and models have different taillight bulbs and brakelight bulbs. in other words your turn signals and brakelights are on one bulb and the tailights are on another, or they have multiple filaments and one of them could be bad

the stratus' are well known for the brakelight switch on the brake pedal going out frequently!!
so go to nearest parts house and buy a brakelight switch, that will most likely fix your problem!!

Brake lights stopped working, and need fuse diagram for the box.

Hi Debbie, GM used a circuit board inside there taillights. You will need to use a test light to confirm if brakelight power is making its way from the brakeswitch to the plug (going into the taillight assembly). If the other lights work then its not a ground issue. Also GM runs the brake light wiring through the turn-signal switch. You can try actuating the hazzard switch a few times. If the contacts are dirty it could be causing the malfunction.
