If its just that little green one that your replacing you just pull that control right off. And its right behind there. I was replacing all my lights to blue because I thought it looked cool. Which it does. But if you want you just pull the center console out by the two screws on the side of the gear shift then take the two screws on either side of the console, underneath the dash. It then just slides out and you can change it from behind. I don't see why you cant just pull the knob off and change it there but I haven't tried that so I can say if it works or not. Good Luck!

How to replace toyota corolla front indicator bulb

I know this is old, but the answers are much more complicated than the actual solution. WebRepOverall ratingThis site has no rating(not enough votes)

If you look at the indicator you can see a hole where there is a screw. grab a philip's head screw driver and remove that screw.
pull it out and you will see the light is attached to a wire, wiggle the black piece attached to that wire out of the light. (don't pull the wires)
now you have the bulb. push it down and twist and it will pop out.
put in a new bulb (push in and twist)
pop that baby back into your car.
shouldn't take more than 5 minutes to do.

Want to replace the dual headlight bulb (lo/hi beam) in my 1999 TOYOTA COROLLA....NOT SURE WHERE TO START...CAN ANYONE HELP??? THANKS DAVE daveh7@comcast.net

Raise the hood and look at the rear of the headlight asembly and you should see the plug for the light. That needs to be unplugged then spin the lock off the bulb and pull out the bulb. There is almost always something in the way that needs to be removed first but that should get you started.

Replacment of a dash light. Toyota Corolla 1998

There is a plastic garnish surrounding the instrument cluster held in by 2 philips head screws. remove the screws and gently pry the garnish from top first then sides then it should pull out.

Then remove the 3 screws holding the cluster in place (2 bottom 1 top). Once that is done gently flip the cluster bottom up and pull out some to expose the wiring harness. Remove the 3 connectors from the back and then the cluster will pull out.

There are 3 bulbs that control the overall lighting of the cluster. They are spaced about every third across the rear of the cluster. They are the larger Green knobs. Remove the 3 large green knobs and replace the bulbs with the appropriate size. You can call your local parts store to find out the size.

Its a 5 minute job and does not require the entire removal of the dash board.

How to replace Marker lamp in 1999 Toyota Corolla

Open the hood. Observe the area above the right headlamp, close to the fender. You will see a phillips screw that holds a plastic tab. Remove the phillips screw. After removing the screw, pull the marker lamp assembly towards you. It may be real tight, if it has never been removed before. You need to pull the light assembly out of 2 retention sockets behind the marker lamp. Rotate the bulb socket to get to the bulb, replace the bulb, & slide it back in.Easy job.
