There is a drain plug on the left hand side on the pipe that goes into the radiator. This is about the lowest physical point so ensures you drain as much as possible. Whilst empty, take out and check / clean the terminals on the water level sensor which is attached to the side of the header tank.

Have you ever taken off the lower right radiator hose and no fluid is present? There is coolant in the reservoir and in the engine. Have had no over heating, no instrument panel cautions and no signs of leaking.

How to change the radiator on a 2004 pacifica

Drain the antifreeze or coolant and then remove any parts obstructing the removal of the radiator itself, the cooling fan, etc. Unclamp the top and bottom radiator hoses, remove retaining bolts and remove. Replacement is opposite. Refill unit avoiding air pockets by running heater while car warms up and you are adding coolant.

What are the 2008 Dodge Sprinter 3500 diesel antifreeze change instructions

Remove the radiator cap.
Remove the radiator drain bung from the bottom of the radiator.

Drain fluid into a container.

If no fluid present, then refill radiator and perform a system pressure check.

Once all fluid has been drained, and any faults repaired, then refil with a 50-50 water to anti freeze mixture.

DRAIN HALF ANTIFEEZE IF YOU GOING TO REPLACE TOP HOSE AND DRAIN OUT ALL ANTIFREEZE IF YOU GOING TO CHANGE LOWER COOLANT HOSE TO WATER PUMP.WHEN DONE CLOSE DRAIN PLUG.PUT ANTIFREEZE IN A SAFE PLACE FROM PETS AND KIDS UNTIL JOB DONE. WHEN YOU REMOVE COOLANT REMOVE WATER HOSE CLAMPS THEN REMOVE RADIATOR HOSES PUT NEW RADIATOR HOSES AND CLAMPS ON HOSES TIGHTEN HOSE CLAMPS DONT OVER TIGHTEN. Im trying to change the antifreeze but it has only one cap on the plastic and not on the raditor would that be a prob when change

Best way to change the antifreeze is to open the petcock at the bottom of the radiator to drain the antifreeze/coolant. Once completely drained close the petcock and refill. Only other way would be to get a flush kit which involves cutting a heater hose, inserting a T and running a garden hose through the system with the radiator open at the bottom through the petcock while the motor is running.
Hope this answers your question. Good luck!

How would you change the antifreeze

On most Jeep radiators, the drain is near the bottom of the right side radiator tank and usually difficult to reach and, most don't work right. I generally remove the lower radiator hose at the radiator. It does the same job, quicker and easier. Don't do this when hot, and be ready for a lot of antifreeze to drain fast. Re-fill slowly with engine running and heat on high. Make sure to wait for level to drop when thermostat opens, then finish filling and topping off.
