Question about 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee
I have a 98 grand cherokee limited and have lost the power windows, door locks, and power mirror on passenger side. The driver side works fine. I have replaced the main switches in driver door, tried a body control module, and checked the wires where they go thru the door and body. Will a faulty switch on the passenger side cause this problem and if so why. It appears that everything on that side, even the door light goes thru that switch panel.....Thanx in advance, Bill
The answer to your question is maybe. Get a couple of switches from a junkyard (my guy gets $5.00 each) and try them. Here's why: I have no less than five different wiring diagrams, and none of them make any sense at all (been doing this stuff a really long time) I keep a good switch handy to check my jeeps when one gets wierd on me...even so, my 93 passenger window works with the key off, none of the others do. Stopped trying to figure it out a long time ago, but would really like to meet the guy who designed this stuff!
