Question about 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe

1 Answer

I get a shock whenever I get out of my 2004 Hundai Santa Fe.

I have owned this vehicle for 4 months and it happens EVERY time I get in or out of it. !! Can there be a faulty ground or another electrical problem causing this? My wife will NOT fuel this car as she is afraid a spark will ignite the gas. Please help!!!!
PS>>It does have cloth seats

spray the seats with anti-static spray available anywhere. It is not an electrical problem, it is just a law of physics been demonstrated.

Why does my 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe stalls in cold weather randomly

Vehicle batteries tend to die during cold weather months since more amperage(power) is required to turn over the engine.

Piston positions in 2004 hyndai santa fae

I were awakened by a loud explosion that sounded like a tire on an 18 wheeler blew out on the interstae nearby. then within seconds a smaller sxplosion and the 'panic' alarm on our 2008 Syundai Santa Fe started on go off. by the time I reached the window to look out on our driveway the rear drivers side of our 2008 Santa Fe was engulfed in flames, and only 3 feet from our house and parked next to our 2001 GMC 'Jimmy". One of our neighbors was frantically screaming for us to get out of our house and pounding on our front door. The vehicle had not been driven for over 2 days --- it just spontanousely erupted in flames.
WHY? Has anyone ever heard of anything like this happening to a new Santa Fe with less than 2,500 miles on it?

I need instructions to program keyless entry remote for 2002 Hundai Santa Fe

For a 1994 to 2006 Sonata, a 2001 to 2006 Elantra, a 2000 to 2006 XG350 or a 2001 to 2006 Santa Fe, you will need to access alarm system control module. On most of those vehicles it is located on the driver's side fascia panel. But on the Sonata, the facia panel is in the center.

  • 2 Once you have found this module, you will want to ensure that the memory switch is in the OFF position. Then turn the ignition on.
  • 3 Wait 5 seconds and set the memory switch to SET position and then press the remote transmitter lock button to send the code to the alarm system control module.
  • 4 If you would like to program a second remote transmitter then you will need to press second remote transmitter lock button.
  • 5 Next set the memory switch to off, then turn the ignition off. You can confirm your programming by locking and unlocking the vehicle with both of the remotes. good luck my friend

I have a 2004 Santa Fe with 39000 miles when can I aspect the driving or timing belt to go out

The timing belts must be replaced every 5 years or 50k miles, whatever comes first. The other belts whenever they give signs of slipping, no fixed date.

Where is location of throttle control sessor 2004 santa fe

Perhaps if we had more info about your vehicle??? ... Like, which engine is installed on your vehicle???... you know, there were three different engines (a 4 cylinder and two different 6 cylinders) available on the 04 Santa Fe. Tell you what, since you're so eager to find the 'location of the throttle control sessor, Go to www.hmaservice.com and register( Vehicle by VIN). Afterward, you have access to shop manuals, service bulletins, wiring diagrams, etc. about your vehicle.

2004 Hyundai Santa Fe won't start

More maintenance history required. Did this happen ALL OF A SUDDEN? The possible causes are numerous (i.e., ignition, fuel, fuel pressure, vacuum leak, valve timing, timing belt, crank position sensor, bad plugs, bad ignition wires, ECM failure, Coil failure, wiring, injectors, fuel pump, and the list goes on and on and on. Does the Check Engine light come ON when this happens? Whenever the "Check Engine" light comes on, there is always a DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Code) stored in the ECM (Engine Control Module). You'll need an OBDII (On-Board-Diagnostics) scanner to retrieve any codes recorded/set in ECM. Once you do this and let us know what, if any codes are set, then we can go from there. If not, then take/tow the vehicle into a Hyundai Service Center (dealership), pay the diagnostic fee. They will tell you EXACTLY what the problem is and what's needed to fix it (parts, labor, tax, time-frame, etc.).
