The obd2 connector should be under the drivers side dash.

Loss of power engine hunting when stationary

Hi there,
cars are all electrical these days,
buy a cheap code reader off of eBay ( item no. 361240488837 )
plug it into your diognaustic plug and it will give you a problem code so you know what's wrong with the car,
a booklet comes with the code reader with the codes in it, sometimes it will throw up a code which isn't in the booklet so then you have to google the code, hope this helps :)

Code reader says 1-3-5 is missing but I know 1&5 is firing jERRY b

Intermittent misses can be caused by bad coils, dirty fuel injectors, and bad o2 sensors, to name a few.

I need to plug in the code reader

These vehicles are OBDI (OBD one) compliant not ODBII (OBD two). Therefore, the scanner required need to be specific for Chrysler vehicles. The diagnostic connector is located above the driverside inner-fender under the hood. To retrieve codes only, turn the ignition key ON-OFF-ON-OFF-ON and the check engine light will flash the codes.

How do i use use the onboard dianostics on 2003 impala?

You need to plug an OBDII code reader into the diagnostic port - under dash board near steering column - and then retrieve the codes, using the code reader as per owners manual. The codes can then be read from the OBDII reader and looked up in the manual to see what they refer to. Let me know if this helps. Thanks.

I have a toyota previa 1991 model I would like to know where the dlc connector is located

if you mean "code reader plug" (sorry not much of a car guy, just know what MY '91 has taught me) is under the drivers seat. there is a lever to lean the seat (whole seat, not just back) back. this is where you add oil, check oil and trans fluid. the code reader plug is the grey box thingy nearest the door.
Hope that helped

Can't read codes with code reader

you most likley have a blown fuse. the fuse for the connector and cig lighter are usually on the same circuit . if you have a owner manuel check and see which fuse is for the obd/cig lighter. if you dont have a manuel then check every fuse in the box and see if you find a blown one. the plug whare the scanner connects is what powers the scanner so if you cant find a blown fuse then you know youre not getting power to the plug for some reason.

Dashboard check light stays on

It is a generic indicator that tells the owner/tech that the car has "thrown" a code. You need to retrieve the code with a code reader available from auto parts store, online or at the dealer. Some parts stores lend them out. You find the plug, usually under the dash by the fuse box, plug the reader into it, turn the ignition on, DONT START, and let the reader retrieve the ccodes. Turn off car and read the codes, itll say a code and sometimed itll also tell you what it means, like O2 sensor or misfire or other things. O2 is the most common. Then the reader can reset the light if you plug it back in and tell it to. remember dont start the car wiht the reader plugged in.
