Question about 2000 Chevrolet Blazer
I have a 2000 s10 Blazer, it has a whining under the hood when in movement. I had transmission serviced and it still whines. A road test was done by a transmission specialist with 48 years exp. and it passed. I took off serpentin belt and it still made that whining noise. What is the problem? Do I need a new transmission?
It may not be your trans at all. Look in the wheel wells for any loose plastic panels/mud flaps that may be hitting the tire. Give a slight tug on those panels to see if they are loose. Many times a loose panel will only contact the wheel when there is air moving to push it into the tire.
